The start of school is just around the corner and we are excited to begin! Welcome back letters with teacher assignments are going in the mail today for grades 1-5. Class lists will also be posted on Friday in the front and back of the school. Arrival & Dismissal for students will again be at the doors located on the playground side of the school.

The Kindergarten schedule for the first week is different than grades 1-5. Students in grades 1-5 will follow the regular schedule (8:35-11:45 or 8:35 – 3:35). Kindergarten students will follow the schedule below:
Group A children:
Tuesday, Sept. 8: Parents and students together 8:45 am – 9:45 am
Wednesday, Sep. 9: Students from 8:35 am – 10:00 am regular instruction, 10:30 am – 11:00 am parent meeting ( Daily 5 CAFÉ), 11:00 am – 11:30 am scheduled assessments (letters and sounds, writing name, sight words, counting) and short conference (15 min total).
Thursday, Sept. 10: Students 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm. 3:00 pm – 3:35 pm parent meeting (Assessments & Grades).
Friday, Sept. 11: Longer day – Students 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (lunch day 1), 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm parent meeting, 2:15 pm -3:35 pm scheduled assessments/conference times with parents and students
Group B children:
Tuesday, Sept. 8: Parents and students together 10:15 am – 11:15 am
Wednesday, Sep. 9: Students from 12:30 pm- 2:30 pm regular instruction, 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm parent meeting (Daily 5 CAFÉ), 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm scheduled assessments (letters and sounds, writing name, sight words, counting) and short conference (15 min total).

Kindergarten parent meetings are not mandatory, however we would encourage all parents to attend if they are available.
