Whitmore-Bolles Elementary will be hosting our 2nd annual Leadership Day on Wednesday, March 8th. Our school is excited to open our doors to the education community, local government, and business community to show off the great things that are happening. Through implementing The Leader in Me process we have built a unique environment where the principles, practices, and habits of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People are embedded into our culture.
An important purpose of Leadership Day is to invite educators from neighboring communities, district administrators, business leaders, community leaders and sponsors to come learn about and see our school’s unique leadership model. It is also an opportunity for our staff and students to share their leadership insights and experiences with those who attend our Leadership Day.
Participants will gain a better understanding of the 7 Habits and how they are incorporated into our daily learning, witness student achievement through leadership binders and discover the joys of being a Leader in Me school. The fee for Leadership Day attendance is $25 per person.
Participants will receive a materials packet. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Our registration deadline is March 1st, so that we can have an accurate head count in order to prepare materials and luncheon needs. Participants who register after March 1st will pay a $30 fee.
We understand that parents want to witness their child’s leadership in action. In an effort to be able to provide parents with an opportunity to see their child, we will be compiling photographs and videos of the day’s events on our 2017 Leadership Day Memories page.
