Our 5th graders and their families were thrilled to see so many neighbors out to cheer for them during their Dream Cruise promotion ceremony today. We were deeply appreciative for the support of our SODA neighbors as we strived to make this day special for our students.
The 5th grade promotion ceremony is a rite of passage that our students look forward to long before they enter 5th grade. In a year where there have been a lot of “new normals” for our students to adjust to, our teachers worked hard to find a way to make this a day to remember for them with the Dream Cruise concept.
Our staff lined the WB parking lot to wish our 5th graders continued success and kick off the Dream Cruise. Cruising the rest of the route without an audience would not have been as nearly as wonderful for our students as today’s experience of seeing neighbors lining the SODA streets to congratulate and encourage them as they move on to middle school.
