Dearborn Public Schools serves nutritious meals every full school day. The district participates in the Community Eligibility Program under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s School Lunch Program and offers free lunch and breakfast to all kindergarten to 12th grade students, regardless of family income.
In partnership with our school food consultant SFE, the district is switching online menus to a new school menu website.
Breakfast and lunch menus will continue to be available online for each school. Detailed information about each entree and side for each meal is available. Students who struggle with dietary restrictions can now easily search for items such as dairy free or gluten free and see what food products will work for them. Families can search for other potential concerns including shell fish, eggs, wheat, soy, and sesame.
All meals in the district are halal and nut free.
The new menu system will also be updated if changes are made after the list is published, and interested parents can sign up to get menu updates. Parents can easily print a monthly menu.
Elementary school menus, simplified for printing, are also still available online. Note these menus will not be updated if changes are made in the meal schedule.
Halal Certification
Dearborn Public Schools ensures all meats served in our schools are certified Halal.
